2013

2012 was full of crazy. My schedule was packed with one last recruitment, one last SING act, thesis defense, graduation, moving to Chicago, and starting graduate school. I am so ready for this new year. I've been writing super long posts lately, so to keep this one short, I am going to keep the list to three reasons I am ready for 2013.

Reason 1: For the first time since we graduated from high school, Mark and I are living in the same county. I would say city, but even though we both went to the same high school, I lived in Frisco and he lived in Plano, womp womp. We can now go about the city on our own schedule, instead of trying to cram a ton of things into a weekend or week.It it is just so nice to be able to see him every day.

Reason 2: I am getting married!!! The engagement has been long, but perfect. I am so ready to be married to this dedicated, loving, amazing man.

Reason 3: I am, finally, going to start learning Greek. Many of you may recall how I attempted to stay far, far away from Greek during my undergrad, but now the prospect of taking intensive Greek over the summer is exciting. I would be a fool to say that intensive Greek doesn't strike a bit of fear in me, but now that I have the Loeb and Oxford Greek editions of The Republic on my bookshelves, I have some really great motivation to get me through it.

Cheers to 2013! Posts will finally go back to being short and posted only once a month or so as my next quarter begins.
