I am technically on vacation/workation, so I'm gonna make this short.
Mark's mom and pop brought us out to San Diego for a few days. Mark went back today (people with grown-up jobs only have so many vacation days), but I am staying until Wednesday before I head down to Texas to see my family for a week.
One of the most exciting things about our time in California has been our trip to Disneyland. I've been to DisneyWorld before, but I have always wanted to go to Disneyland. I kid you not, my cheeks were hurting when we left because I had been smiling like a fool the whole day. After a year of feeling old, this made me feel (brace yourself for the cliche) like a
kid again. It made it all the more fun to be there with my husband and MIL. We ate some sandwiches at the Jolly Holiday Bakery and Cafe, which is Mary Poppins-themed, and had some practically perfect punch. I may be biased because I L-O-V-E Mary Poppins, but I really think that if you should find yourself in Disneyland then you ought to stop by and get the punch. It's delicioso. Also, the rides are fun. Do them. Death-defying thrill rides, they are not, but they are extremely entertaining. Space Mountain? Awesome. The Matterhorn? Loved it. Indiana Jones' Adventure? So much fun. Are these sentences? No. Do I care? Nope. Why? Because I went to Disneyland, y'all! It was magical. They must put something in the air there.

We have missed our families so much since moving to Chicago that this was really a wonderful time for us. The change of scenery has also helped me be much more productive. We are so thankful to have family members who allow us to make so many wonderful memories.
Also, we caught a band on our way out of Disneyland (they did a Michael Jackson and Earth, Wind, and Fire medley). It was delightful. We danced. I have video, but it refuses to load correctly right now, so...just use your imagination I guess.
