Fall

Disclaimer: I'm still recovering from exams, so if there are more grammatical mistakes than usual or there are no good transitions or the writing is just not all that compelling or something, it's because my brain is worn out. I apologize.

Fall in Chicago is wonderful. We open up the windows so that the cool air can come in and pull the blinds up to let the sun stream into the apartment. Walking to the farmer's market or around downtown is a ton of fun, especially because it is cool enough to walk around with Mark's arm wrapped around me, but not so cold that I get grumpy because my toes have frozen.

The cashier at Whole Foods recommended a place for us to go apple picking, and we will probably do that next weekend. I am super excited because I have never been to an apple orchard before and I loooooooove apples. There will definitely be pictures. Perhaps I will even change my profile picture on Facebook (is it bad that I haven't taken the time to change it since the wedding?).

Also, restaurant menus are changing as the seasonal produce changes. We can't wait to revisit some of our favorites and try the new things that they have come up with for early fall. Also, some new restaurants are about to open in Hyde Park, which is great! If we want good food or drinks, we usually have to go to South Loop or West Loop, which only takes a few minutes by car, but can be a pain if we just want to have some delicious apps and drinks.

Long story short: fall in Chicago gets a check plus and we are loving where we live a little more every day.
